Description

A 1st pressing of Lizard on the UK Pink Rim Island label from 1970. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 1A/1R - which put this copy within the first few thousand ever pressed. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day gatefold cover. The Lp comes housed in a generic white inner from the time.
Vinyl (Ex+) In fantastic condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out anything more than a couple of super light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. It really is a superb level of playback - and nothing else will suffice on this title as it is has very fussy audio. Interference is, thankfully, minimal. We detected a few light crackles during the spoken word intro to track 1 and then precious little else really. An impressive rendition by any standard.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been looked after. Lovely shiny front and back with only a few light creases. The interior is in equally good condition with only lightest handling. Edge wear is light and all the text on the spine is fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing no splits.
