MEGARARE (UNIQUE?) You are looking at an authentic pencil autograph of Klaus Voormann AND a near mint copy of the album 'RINGO' from 1973 (2 SEPARATE ITEMS). Klaus Voormann was the creator/designer of the sleeve for the Beatles iconic album 'Revolver' and a great friend of the Beatles from their early days in Hamburg, Germany.
This unique autographed print is an artists proof produced by the publishers/printers for Klaus Voorman to approve before the album cover / booklet went to print. Klaus signed this proof and it was then passed on to the publishers to be copied and used in the production of the album booklet *, SO THIS IS AN ORIGINAL SIGNATURE - NOT A FACSIMILE and possibly a one-off, so is very rare.
* The booklet was included in the gatefold of the 1973 vinyl album 'RINGO'.
A BRIEF HISTORY... Klaus Voormann was born in Germany, in 1938. He studied commercial art, in Berlin and Hamburg. It was there that he met Astrid Kirchherr (Stuart Sutcliffe's girlfriend) and later together they met The Beatles. He went to London in 1966 and played a short stint with The Hollies then joined Manfred Mann as a bass guitarist.
John Lennon asked him to design the cover for The Beatles' album 'Revolver', for which he was awarded a Grammy. He went on to design several album covers for a variety of artists including Ringo and George Harrison. He is firmly lodged in the history of The Beatles, particularly in their early years in Hamburg, Germany.

Grading System: I have used Record Collector magazine set of standards for the condition of second-hand records. I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable.
I grade all records in accordance with the Rare Record Price Guide (see above). However, if you feel I have graded your record incorrectly please email me ASAP so we can resolve the problem amicably.
RECORD COLLECTOR Grading System
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. (NOTE: As far as I am concerned, MINT will never apply to second hand vinyl records).
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
Post & Packaging - I recycle all packaging so you will get your goods in recycled packaging / cardboard container. All items over £20 are insured and sent 'Signed For' or ‘Tracked 48’ and I always obtain a 'Certificate of Posting' for cheaper items. All items are securely and properly packaged and vinyl is sent using double corrugated cardboard stiffeners.
