Description
Opportunity for a bargain, this is the brilliant self-titled album by Kylie Minogue, originally released in 1994-her best album in my opinion. This is the double LP version released in 2015 by Be With Records.
I am only selling this copy because I received as another as a gift and this one has some manufacturing blemishes you may or may not care about. It plays perfectly from start to finish with no pops, skips or hiss or scraping noise but there are some aesthetic manufacturing blemishes to the discs mainly caused by careless factory handling and some very light clicks I mention below. It is an ideal play copy of this LP which is becoming quite rare.
Please note I am an extremely conservative grader of LPs. I do not grade any played record above very good condition, even if it has been played once because I think it is dishonest. I prefer to be specific about condition.
Sleeve: As new and still in its shrink. No splits. There is a corner ding on the back, bottom right cover. Would not really be noticeable on a plastic sleeve but this is a subjective thing of course. It does not detract from the stunning image of Ms Minogue on the back. There is a slight shrink wrap pressure crease on the back top left of the cover but this is very minor and most records have these from the shrink process. Front cover is stunning.
No Inner sleeves.
Discs are as new and only played through twice (once for this listing). There are no pops or scraping. The records do however have scuffs and marks, all from brand new and were covered in paper dust. Both discs have been brushed but not wet cleaned. Caused by the paper sleeves and careless factory handling. On Side 1, in the dead wax edge of the disc before the start of Confide in Me there is a funny whitish scuffy mark "under" the first couple of groove of the disc resulting in a single click in the silence before the song starts. It has no effect on play. This side of the LP is quite scuffy and there is some very slight ambient surface noise at the very, very start of Confide in Me before the song gets going. This is extremely mild and other sellers probably would not mention it but I am not that kind of person. Other than this (and it is incredibly brief), the sound quality across the LP is superb. I did notice a clcik in the silence at the start of side 2 and a slight amount of momentary low crackle at the start of side 2 but this may have been dust but just noting it here; it was minor and brief. Note: the surface vinyl noise on Put Yourself in my Place is deliberate and part of the actual song.
Kylie was on all cylinders back in the early 90s and this contains some of her best songs. Please do note the imperfections I note above but really these are minor. I appreciate these are subjective things. If you're looking for a play copy of this CLASSIC bit of 90s dynamite, it is ideal. Hope it goes to a Kylie-loving home.
