Description
Guaranteed 100% original 1969 pressing of this not-often-seen funk/soul winner. Here's the absolute true back story on this copy:
a musician friend of L.A. Carnival was at the Pacific Avenue recording studio shortly after the 45 came back from the pressing plant in 1969. The label dude gave him this copy and he brought it home, filed it away and promptly forgot about it for 50+ years. It was only re-discovered this year, when family was cleaning out his late parent's house, still housed in it's original plain white paper sleeve.
The vinyl is SUPER HIGH GLOSS, with only a couple of insignificant, hard-to-see lite marks. It has the ever-so-slightest hint of barely noticeable dish warp, NOT AFFECTING PLAY whatsoever. Test played, sounds A-1, PERFECT - NO issues to be heard. Pretty much as good as it gets - STUNNING, BRILLIANT, whatever adjective one cares to use...
