Superclean condition of original first US pressing with printed inner sleeve and without ‘L 32481’ etched in the run-out groove. Reportedly, many of the tracks/versions were recorded EXCLUSIVELY for this record. This top produced record from 1979 was given 8 of 10 points by the FLEX book/website (US Hardcore/Punk Discography)....and below is as additional the comment of the wonderful FLEX. eBay prices: $138 + $128 + $129 (US). The record is so extremely clean.....the cover has been opened, but still has the ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP over it (see scan). Produced by American punk son Chris D. of the FLESH EATERS. It’s the same label where the FLESHEATERS kicked out their first single and first album. • A compilation from the golden age of LA punk. With Controllers (rough melodic 77-style punk), Flesh Eaters (their usual noisy and slightly annoying punk sound, these are three great songs, though), UXA (simple but tough punk with a female singer), Negative Trend (pre-Rik L Rik, these are different versions of the songs on the Beach Blvd comp; cool, melodic, cynical punk), Middle Class (one fast hardcore song in the style of their first 7” and one calmer track), and Germs (three great punk rock killers). Vertreten sind die Controllers (rauher, aber melodischer 77er-Punk), Flesh Eaters (der übliche, leicht nervige, kratzige Punk-Sound, hier allerdings 3 wirklich gute Tracks), UXA (harter Punk mit Sängerin, etwas einfach), Negative Trend (pre-Rik L Rik, die Songs kennt man ja in anderen Versionen vom Beach Boulevard-Sampler, cooler, melodischer, zynischer Punk), Middle Class (ein schneller HC-Song und ein gemäßigterer Track im Stil der ersten 7”) und Germs (3 typische Punkrock-Kracher). Insgesamt eine tolle Platte, wenn man auf den alten, rauhen LA-Punk steht.
