"LABYRINTH" ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK LP EMI America SV-17206
First 1986 US pressing, a much sought after collectible, featuring six songs written and performed by the legendary David Bowie.
Includes original artsy custom inner sleeve featuring classic David Bowie photos, in EX condition.
The vintage of this LP is verified by the matrix numbers hand etched in the dead wax :
Side 1: SV-1-17206-Z1-DMM B-23982-Z1 Sterling Sound SP O-1 1-2 triangle symbol 12963
Side 2: SV-2-17206-Z1-DMM B-23983-Z1 Sterling Sound SP O-2 AL-SP triangle symbol 12963-X
This LP is not in the superb condition characteristic of most of my offerings. Hence, the modest price tag for this highly sought after collectible. (This LP as a first US pressing in superb condition generally sells for $100 - $300.) This copy is a fine addition to any collection given its rarity and decent sound.
Wax is Good Plus. Flawed but plays continuously, with no skips or dropoffs. Multiple scratches are present, some of which result in a periodic "tick" audible between some tracks and during some quiet passages. Surface noise is a distraction at times but this LP still offers a highly enjoyable listen. In short, this LP plays far better than it looks. Nice high gloss remains. Labels show scratches but are fully intact, with clearly legible artwork and print.
Jacket is VG. Front and back color artwork, photos and text are rich, clear and bright. Modest ring/rub wear. Shallow creases at jacket edges. Solid seams, with traces of rub wear. Spine is solid, with modest rub wear that obscures some of the spine print. No splits.
