Some beautifully crafted jazz and latin tinged numbers on this early and very rare soundtrack from master Lalo Schifrin.
There are some uptempo action themes in a "Man From Uncle" vibe, plus an excellent, psych-fuzz guitar led instrumental titled "The Golden Trip". Should move dancefloors, if dancers be breathing. Usual quality work from Lalo, and this is a beautiful copy with what looks like unplayed vinyl and 90% of the cover in the original shrinkwrap. And what a cover it is !!

"Sol Madrid featured Telly Savalas, David McCallum and Stella Stevens in an underworld thriller. The job of scoring the film went to 'Hollywood's fastest-rising musical talent - Lalo Schifrin'. The liner notes are correct. Schifrin gives the score a heavy jazz and latin flavour - there's a superb hard bop / free jazz number in 'The Burning Candle', and plenty of percussion throughout the LP. The best groovy track is the psychedelic guitar workout 'The Golden Trip'. A good album, entertaining and stimulating listening." 4 out of 5 !!

CONDITION: Cover: NM, 90% in shrink except for top left corner.VIINYL: NM, still has original surface gloss. Looks great, plays great ! Hard to find in this shape !
