MONDO INFANTILE aka CHILDISH WORLD - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp by LAMARTINE aka ODOARDO RADICCHI. Original Italian pressing on the CAM label (CML 055), from 1984. Strange / wonky and exotic electronica on the iconic red CAM Library series. Not sure if there was ever a 2nd issue of this particular Library as the date on the label is 1984 not 1974 (?) Whatever, expect a twisted analogue vision of a childish world by little known composer, Odoardo Radicchi. A futuristic / synthesizer based recording intended for children but maybe, in reality, a bit too freaky and sinister in places. Eclectic compositions with various moods and emotions. Features the oriental-tinged techno theme PERLINA D'ORIENTE with spooky synthetic sounds and programmed beats. Elements of the Zombie horror film soundtrack vibe of Fabio Frizzi et al on the sleazy CORTEO FUNEBRE DEI GATTI but with a juvenile undercurrent percolating throughout the moody keyboards and tribal drum machines :) AVVENTURA AL CENTRO SPAZIALE is experimental space electronica and quite alien sounding. SIGLETTA reminds us of Alfonso Santisteban in a Spanish moog groove. Our soundclip finishes with the weird electro samba BALLATA DI UN SOLDATINO DI PIOMBO. Word on the street is that a certain somebody (behind a very cool label) has just written a paper on Radicchi so maybe we can expect a retrospective comp in the future?!? Hallucinogenic rhythms with loops / samples and oddball modulations galore. The same artist also recorded the Cronache Dal Mondo Library for the RCA SP series too. Rare Library Lp!!!   

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition overall with a few hairlines from sleeve removal and one tiny scratch that does cause a few audible pops to 'Sigletta' theme (as you can hear on our soundclip). Light surface noises in places elsewhere.  The generic red CAM sleeve is closer to M- condition and still in its original shrinkwrap. Minimal wear to the exposed corners of the open side. No original insert. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Library Lp!!!
