THIS COPY IS IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION - POSSIBLY COMPLETELY UNPLAYED
AND AS AN ORIGINAL UK PYE PRESSING THE VINYL, WHICH AT FIRST GLANCE APPEARS TO BE BLACK, IS TRANSLUCENT PURPLE WHEN HELD UP TO THE LIGHT (apologies for the poor photo but the camera had to be pointed directly into the light to capture the colour)

This album features the pioneer fusion guitarist Larry Coryell with quite an all-star group.
Two selections match Coryell with fellow guitarist John McLaughlin, bassist Miroslav Vitous (doubling on cello) and drummer Billy Cobham, all important fusion players at the time.
"Rene's Theme" is a guitar duet with McLaughlin, while "Gloria's Steps" (a Scott LaFaro composition) has Coryell, Vitous and Cobham jamming as a trio.
Chick Corea sits in on electric keyboard for "Chris," and the 20-second closer ("New Year's Day in Los Angeles -- 1968") finds Coryell playing alone.
Overall, the music has its energetic moments with lightning fast guiter, but also contains some lyricism often lacking in fusion of the mid-'70s.
In addition, all of the musicians already had their own original voices, making Spaces a stimulating album worth searching for.
LABELS: The labels are clean, fresh and unmarked with no evident spindle traces or signs of use - MINT
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces still retain their original deep, like-new glossy sheen and are practically unmarked (some light wispy hairlines - non-audible) - NEAR MINT
VINYL Audio: Crystal clear, sharp, rich detailed sound - beautifully recorded and engineered and on playback at a loud volume the audio is clean and flawless - this copy has possibly never been played - MINT
SLEEVE: The matt card sleeve is clean, crisp and fresh - NEAR MINT
