Description
LARRY WILLIAMS - " SHORT FAT FANNIE ", London Records "DEMONSTRATION SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE" (MSC 1917).
Very rare single-sided, Demo 45/7" of the Larry Williams hit.
Matrix Number: MSCF-1917-IC
In original brown paper sleeve.
Side B is not used and features a plain black label and grooves that play a low frequency 'test tone'.
Professionally cleaned on a Moth record cleaning machine prior to listing.
CONDITION:
VINYL = EX- (No deep scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. Only light spindle trails on the label. In strong direct light there are some light surface scuffs and a few light marks, but these do not affect playback. Plays very well - starts with the very lightest of faint surface noise during the silent run-in which stops as the music starts. Then it plays strong, clear and without interruption from loud clicks, crackles and excessive surface noise. As the record plays out there are just a couple of random extremely faint background clicks/noises, but these in no way ruin this very rare record. Whilst this single certainly falls short of 'museum piece' status, it's still a good honest used but cared-for 45 ready to be played and enjoyed as it should be.
The label is basically pretty clean, but does have a small amount of writing and a number stamped on it - of course these are part of the test pressing process and therefore part of the record's history rather than damage - see photo.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.
ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!
HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!
