This is an ORIGINAL 1973 PROMO PRESSING (NOT THE RECENT REISSUE) OF THE 1973 U.S. PERCEPTION RECORDS LP titled 'Lawrence Of Newark from free jazz producer / organist Larry Young with stellar accompaniment. It is Perception Records U.S. catalog number PLP 34, promo copy with a round 'DJ' sticker on the front cover and 'PROMOTION COPY' inscription on the labels.
Recorded at Blue Rock Studio, New York City. Condition of record is a real nice EX with just a couple of very light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of cover is VG with a few areas along the top and bottom edges and at the top of the back cover slick where the top layer paper is worn away, apparently the work of the pesty paper eating silverfish we have here in Florida. Cover also has a little ring and contact wear and some general wear along the edges and on the corners. This LP would be a choice addition to any free jazz record collection!
