“LAST SUMMER” SOUNDTRACK LP SIGNED BY BARBARA HERSHEY w/COA!
This 1969 movie about four teenagers spending the summer on Fire Island was a watershed moment for Barbara Hershey. When a seagull’s neck was broken accidentally during a beach scene and had to be killed, she was so deeply moved she temporarily changed her last name to Seagull. A skeptical press ridiculed her for it and she resumed her original surname after a few years. Fortunately, she is such a great actress the incident is now a footnote in a stellar career. Here we have the film’s Warner Bros. Records label LP-vinyl is in Excellent (E) condition (cover has some tape on corners and on small splits on top, sleeve has splits, also) signed in black Sharpie on the cover by Ms. Hershey. She did so at an American Cinematheque screening of one of her other films, “The Last Temptation of Christ,” at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood over ten years ago.
