Description

One of the hardest to find original cult TV themes: "Jason King" by the Laurie Johnson Orchestra. This is not one of those horrible cover versions that crop up now and again. The series ran from 1971-72 for 26 episides, and was a spin-off from "Department S". The series followed the exploits of Jason King (played by Peter Wyngarde), who wrote adventure novels about a fictional character called Mark Caine.
The A side plays through perfectly without any clicks, pops, skipping or jumping, even the run-in and out grooves are quiet, so although there are some slight surface marks, I can safely grade this as being ex-.
The B side is titled "There Comes A Time". This has some visible and audible hairlines, so you will hear one or two clicks, but nothing major, and like the title track, sounds superb. So I would say this is vg+.
In addition this is a 'Factory Sample', which more than doubles the rarity value.
All in all a very nice record for anyone who collects 'original' TV themes.
