LE ORME: FELONA & SERONA UK CHARISMA 1st PRESS EX+/NM

OVERVIEW
Le Orme were Italy's answer to Van Der Graff Generator with a keyboard-driven heavy prog sound. This album was their only UK release and was issued on Charisma, also home to VDGG. For the release, the band drafted in none other than Peter Hammill to write the English lyrics. The result is a fabulous cosmic concept album based around two opposing planets who momentarily unite and then annihilate each other!
I am reluctant to describe any used record as near mint, but this is pretty damn close. It is a superb copy in all respects from sleeve to the record.
SLEEVE
The gatefold unlaminated sleeve is NM-. It features surreal paintings by Lanfranco and the inner gatefold has the credits and Hammill's lyrics. It is made by E. J. Day Group, London & Bedford. Has credit 'Marketed by B&C Records, 37 Soho Square, London W1'. The sleeve has no ringwear and no rips or tears. The spine is fully intact with all lettering clear and legible. The only fault I can find is a tiny bit of wear on the top edge of the rear sleeve panel.
LABELS
The labels are NM and feature the Famous Charisma Mad Hatter design with 'Manufactured and distributed by B & C Records' credit. There is a typo on the album title which says 'FELONA AND D(S)ORONA'. There are no slug trails or writing.
RECORD
The vinyl is an A2/B2 press which I think is a first press (all copies I have seen of this have been A2/B2). The record rates as a NM- and looks and plays superbly. There are no marks on the vinyl and the audio is excellent right through the complex suite of quiet and loud passages.
IN CONCLUSION
This is an extremely rare and sought after prog rarity and almost impossible to find in such outstanding condition.
