Description

LEAF HOUND - GROWERS OF MUSHROOM   Akarma LP/2003   200 Gram Vinyl, Heavy Gatefold Sleeve, w/2 Bonus Tracks & Poster

Another one of those "lost" classic albums. It's finally gotten the ink it deserves in the past decade or so, Leaf Hound, led by Peter French (Black Cat Bones / Atomic Rooster / 'Ot'N Sweaty era Cactus / Randy Pie) played heavy guitar based blues rock in the vein of Zep, Cactus, Free, and the like. But the band split before the album saw the light of day. There were rumors there weren't even any pictures of Leaf Hound, but there's one in the gatefold and another on the included color poster (measuring roughly 20" x 20"). In  2004, with Leaf Hound finally getting belatedly noticed, French started up a new version of the band, releasing an outstanding album, UNLEASHED, in 2007. But this monster started it all in 1971.
