Description
ORIGINAL 1969 UK. STEREO PRESSING OF LED ZEPPELIN'S DEBUT LP. CAT No 588171. HAS THE PLUM/ORANGE ATLANTIC LABEL WITH WARNER BROS. CREDITS. VERY EARLY MATRIX NUMBERS - SLEEVE AND RECORD IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
SLEEVE- Front and back covers are unmarked. Fully Laminated. There are no rips, no tears and no stickers or writing. A UK MacNeill sleeve. There are 6 crease marks to the laminate - the worst of these is 2'' in length. There is also some underlaminate lift on the back of the sleeve to the margin 1 1/4'' (length) by 1/4'' wide. The spine text is clearly legible. The sleeve has a silver grey bar at the bottom.I WOULD GRADE THE SLEEVE AS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
INNER SLEEVE - Complete with a white polylined inner sleeve which is again in excellent condition. No splits or tears although some age discolouration. Shows British Patent as No. 800513 and 973939. Made in England B1/0370.
RECORD- I do not possess expensive audio equipment - but the record plays without problem on my player. The vinyl has a deep sheen with no apparent visible surface marks. The Plum and Orange Atlantic labels are unmarked, just a few light spindle traces near the centres.
The Matrix numbers and stampers are
SIDE 1 588171 (one of the 8 has been crossed out and replaced by 8) A//1 1226
SIDE 2 27 588171 (one of the 8 has been crossed out and replaced by 8) B//1 1
I am confident that this record has not been played very many times, and WOULD GRADE THE VINYL AS EXCELLENT.
