1st ALBUM (1st PRESS)
VERY RARE TURQUIOSE COVER LETTERING, ORIGINAL PLUMB LABELS AND "SUPERHYPE MUSIC" PUBLISHING CREDIT.
I have been a private collector for thirty-five years now and this is without doubt the best copy of this LP I have the previlage of owning. My description of this LP is true and acurate in every way adhereing very strictly to the Record Collector gradings. All imperfections, if any at all, however small will be described in the fullest of detail.
Detailed Cover & Inner-sleeve Review.
Specific cover grading: Mint- (Matrix Numbers 588171 A//1 & 588171 B//1) notoriously scarce, classic cover in seriously good condition.
Front: A slight 'brown' mark top centre and some very minor creasing to laminate near opening.
Back: Three minor laminate creases - hardly noticable at all!
Edges & Corners: Very slight wear to bottom opening corner, remaining three corners are in fantastic shape (not a sinlge dink in sight) and the edges have (genuinely) just the very lightest signs of ware.
Spine: Three very slight marks on spine but still in great shape and fully legible.
Inner-sleeve: Polly liner.

Specific Vinyl grading: Near Mint
Visual: Yes, a VERY strong grading, but also a VERY strong vinyl. This beauty has an utterly flawless, mirror-like sheen and is totally and utterly blemish, blip, mark, what-ever (!) free! This vinyl, even when viewed in direct sunlight, is otherwise utterly flawless. Yes, NM is a spectacular grading, but this is a spectacular lp… particularly when regarding the next section! Probably the best original Plum copy of this stunning lp I’ve ever seen.
Audio: It is with total delight that this wonderful slice of vinyl lives up to its appearance in the sound stakes as well!This lp does not have a single sound on it that wasn’t intended to be there – it is utterly devoid of anything other than some of the greatest rock music ever written/recorded. A REAL special item. I’m not going to do “pages” of blurb, as some do, just take it as read that you’ll be VERY hard pressed to find a better vinyl. Absolutely fantastic in every way! I heard nothing that detracts from Zep's crushingly loud interpretations of the Blues.
Labels: Utterly perfect pair of plums, in fact, side 2 still even has a little piece of the original flashing in the spindle hole.
This LP has very obviously been cared for and has not been played that many times as can be seen and heard from the condition of the vinyl and perfect pair of labels.
A real gem of a copy – just place it on your turn table, cranck up the volume and enjoy.....WOW!! You will not be disappointed!
So go on and bid for a piece of rock history. The Record Collector Guide gives this LP (Mint condition) a price of £500.00. I have used strict RC gradings for this LP.
