LED ZEPPELIN "HOUSES OF THE HOLY" 90s Classic Records/Atlantic 200 gram LP, gatefold exact reissue of the 5th album by the heavy metal supergroup from 1973 w/obi strip & lyric inner sleeve. SD 7255 M/M.

Led Zeppelin were at the top of their game by the time their 5th album was released in 1973. While the 4th album usually gets the nod as their best primarily due to the inclusion of "Stairway To Heaven", "Houses Of The Holy" actually contains some of their strongest material- "The Song Remains The Same", "The Rain Song", "Over The Hills & Far Away", "Dancing Days" & "No Quarter" are all stand-outs. The 4 piece supergroup were all great musicians- Jimmy Page, guitarist extraordinaire, multi-instrumentalist John Paul Jones handled the bass, synthesiizer, mellotron & piano, John Bonham on drums & the inimitable Robert Plant on lead vocals. They went beyond the heavy metal classification blending elements of Progressive Rock, English Folk, Blues & 50s Rock & Roll into their music. Jimmy Page wrote most of the music while Robert Plant provided the lyrics. Great cover & inner gatefold by Hipgnosis. This classic LP epitomized the best Rock had to offer in 1973!

Gatefold cover looks like new with virtually no wear. Rated at MINT. Thick 200 gram record has no scratches or scuffs & plays perfectly- also in MINT condition. Played only once! Comes complete with the MINT inner lyric sleeve & the title on the "obi" strip. Sounds fantastic!
