Led Zeppelin Houses Of The Holy US 2007 QUIEX SV-P inc OBI
Now highly collectable these Quiex pressings are an audiophile's dream! Pressed in the USA by Classic Records on super heavyweight 200g vinyl they are renown for playing with vastly superior clarity and definition. With only a very minor warp on one edge the audio here does not disappoint!
The gatefold is in near perfect condition with just one very fine split on the top edge of the back cover, it really is not that obvious. Without it this super clean cover would be Mint but will grade as Ex+ just to be cautious.
The original OBI is 100% intact and wrapped around the front cover, it has never been removed. The lyric inner is in great condition with no side splits and only a little creasing in the top right corner. It comes complete with its original cellophane wrapper which still has the Quiex sticker on the front and no side splits or tears.

Visual grading
The vinyl has a superb glossy sheen and no scratches. There are just a few very faint hairlines that I am sure were either caused during the manufacture/packaging process or by moving around inside the sleeve. There is no spindle wear and the run out grooves and labels are also super clean with no marking etc. When you play S1 you can see a very minor warp which causes a very gentle lift on one section but this is not noticeable when you play S2. This is very common on a lot of Quiex pressings and especially on the Led Zepp ones.
Play grading
I have play tested every track and I am pleased to say they all play with incredible clarity and depth. How they should sound basically! There is a tangible difference with these Quiex pressings hence their collectability - they have a greater definition and the sonic quality is so impressive. There are no clicks or pops and no static or crackle either. There are only a small number of dust ticks which you will expect to find on any vinyl of course. Even the super quiet end section on 'Over The Hills And Far Away' plays beautifully. The real test is with 'No Quarter' and I am pleased to say the clarity is superb throughout, you can hear each note with perfect precision. I suspect this vinyl has never been played as when I purchased it it was still inside its original Quiex cellophane wrapper and I cannot now get it back in! Another feature of these rare Quiex pressings is the total lack of distortion something you often find on the original pressings. The winning bidder will not be disappointed with the quality of the audio here, there is no intrusive 'background' of any kind.
