LED ZEPPELIN - 'HoUSeS OF THe HoLy' LP as NOW DELETED US Classic Records edition. Out of the first five Zeppelin albums this one is the most sought after in this edition and while you still can pick up "Led Zeppelin III" for its original price this already has risen above the 100 Dollar mark. But no matter how much you pay eventually your money won't be wasted because it is highly likely that this Grundman cut won't be rereleased for years to come. So if you handle this item with care its value will only increase in the future!
Like all other titels this is ALL ANALOGUE PRODUCTION, mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original session master tapes using an all analog and tube amplified mastering process, conducted under supervision of Jimmy Page. The result is the.finest version of this LP you will ever hear, revealing textures that simply weren't audible on earlier versions. "The Song Remains The Same" simply sounds stunning, kicks you into this record and sets the scene, while "The Rain Song" drips heavenly from your speakers.Elsewhere "D'yer Mak'er" explodes with awesome power and "No Quarter" hangs in the air like an atmosphere that won't go away after Side Two is over. Oh and by the way: You actually CAN hear the squeak of John Bonham's bass drum pedal in "The Ocean"
Lavish packaging that features a painstakingly reproduction of the original artwort, heavy gatefold with OBI strip and two innerbags: A ploylinered that houses the record and an empty reproduction of the original 1973 cardboard one with all lyrics. That's how crazy the guys at Classic Records are!
This was given last week to me as a present from a friend but unfortunately I already had a copy so this is a still sealed, unplayed copy!
By the way: This is an archive picture as I had problems photographing my copy - the shrinkwrapped always reflected the flashlight and the result looked rather like a sunspot than a vinyl record!
