Original 1st 1973 US issue on ATLANTIC Records label

This is the original Sterling Sound mastering done by Robert Ludwig (both 'Sterling' and 'RL'
are cut into the run-off grooves). The run-off areas are very narrow on both sides (especially Side 2), allowing for maximum dynamics in the playback (neither side runs much past 20 minutes in actual play time). While this title is less notorious than Ludwig's famous recall mastering for II, it is just as important for the quality of its playback. The LP also weighs in at 150 grams, unusual for records by 1973 because of the price of petroleum product - virtually all major labels were pressing LPs at 120 grams at this time to save money.
