Description
LED ZEPPELIN I George Piros Mastering PRESWELL as indicated by the "PR" on the labels and in the runouts.
The infamous George Piros pressing, super heavy bass and wide soundstage that does not occur on earlier pressings. The Piros is quickly getting a reputation as being comparable to the infamous Robert Ludwig mastering of Led Zeppelin II. The mastering is much more of a "rock record" as opposed to earlier pressings that lacked bass.
George Piros mastered Led Zeppelin I starting in 1972 and ending in the early 80's. This is from the Presswell Mastering from New Jersey. 1841 Broadway address on the labels indicating a pre-1974 era pressing.
VINYL in VG++ condition, beautiful condition, just the faintest of paper scuffs only, super clean and sound fantastic. More like a Near Mint, but I always ere on the side of caution. Sounds incredible, no groove wear or annoying crackle, just solid in-your-face vintage sound!!!
COVER in VG+ with corner crease on bottom right hand side with some paper lifting on the back of the crease (see photos). Chipping on bottom seam with a 1" area near the spine with paper loss, but seam is not split. Top seam has 1" chipping at the opening, seam still intact. Spine is super solid and fully readable. Front and back images solid and no ring wear! This previously had shrink wrap on cover that was recently removed, so images are glossy and bold!
INNER SLEEVE in G with yellowing and almost fully split seams.
Record will be safely packed in proper record mailer. Record shipped out of sleeve to avoid splitting. For domestic buyers, I ship Priority Mail but charge you only for Media Mail. Save on shipping but get a much better and reliable service!
