LED ZEPPELIN II A6 / B4 Atlantic 58818 UK 1969 Red/Plum LABEL
This red/plum pressing has the later 'Killing Floor' credit on the label.
The gatefold has 'The Lemon Song' credited.
This pressing has the Jimmy Page production credit on both the label and gatefold and Peter Grant as the Executive Producer on the gatefold only.

Visual grading
This vinyl has a number of faint hairlines but it is not wrecked like so many you see and is relatively clean. There is one small scratch on the last track on S2 causing a small number of pops. There is a fair amount of spindle wear as you would expect but for a rare red/plum pressing it is still visually in very good condition.
Play grading
The classic 'Whole Lotta Love' only has a small amount of lead in static and then plays with excellent audio throughout. There is one faint click and some background static on the only ! quiet section towards the end but overall it plays loud and clear and with great clarity. Whilst 'What Is And What Should Never Be' has excellent sound quality there is faint crackle during the quieter sections although there are no loud clicks or pops. In my opinion this crackle is not intrusive and it remains an excellent listen and the bass comes through so strongly and with great power. 'Killing Floor/The Lemon Song' has number of faint clicks over the first half of the track but they are largely non-intrusive. Other than that the track plays very well. 'Thank You' plays with very clear audio with only some 'hiss' in the quieter sections. This is more obvious on the fade out section towards the end.
'Heart Breaker' on Side Two has a couple of dull pops on the lead in grooves just before the track begins and then proceeds to play with very good audio. It plays clearly despite there being approx six clicks about two minutes in. The remainder of the track plays with excellent quality and only 2/3 more light clicks. 'Livin' Lovin Maid' plays to a very high standard here and is a superb listen. There is no interference and it 'rocks out' well and truly! 'Ramble On' is another highlight and plays with wonderfully clear audio with just a touch of minor crackle literally at the end. 'Moby Dick' has 5/6 light clicks at the beginning of the drum solo but otherwise has excellent audio with just some light intermittent crackle in the background. Sadly there are some rather loud pops at the the beginning of 'Bring It On Home' but it then plays clearly with just some background crackle in the quieter sections.
Gatefold cover
The E.J. Day gatefold does have a fair amount of wear as can be seen. There is quite a bit of rubbing on the edges and the spine and some white marking on the front and back cover. The latter also has a small seam split on the bottom edge leading to the opening edge. There is also some ringwear on the back cover. The inside of the gatefold however remains in excellent condition. The opening edge is very clean for its age.
Inner sleeve
This comes with a plain white inner sleeve with a patent number and 'Made in Great Britain' printed on it. With only one tiny tear at the top it remains in excellent condition.
The Labels
The red/plum labels are in excellent shape with no marks or writing, just some spindle wear.
