Rare early pressing of Led Zeppelin II on the Atlantic Plum Label. Side 1 of this album Track 3, "THE LEMON SONG" is credited to Page/Bonham/Plant/Jones whereas on later pressings it is credited to Burnett and on later pressings listed as "Killing Floor" due to copyright reasons. Lemon Song is on the inner sleeve track list. Also all publishing rights were credited to "Copyright Control" on early pressings and Warner Bros. and Jewel Music for "The Lemon Song" on later issues making this collectable. Also has Livin' Lovin' Wreck (She's A Woman) credit on Side 2 Track 2. Cover lists as Livin' Lovin' Maid (She's A Woman) this miscredit was changed shortly after release so only the very first batch had the original labels.
The gatefold matt light brown cover ( later pressings were dark brown) is in Very Good + condition. Slight edge wear on the top and bottom. Some slight nicks to spine and minor creasing. Some discolouration commensurate with age and handling. Some minor creasing and scuff marks to cover. Inside very clean. Described for maximum accuracy.
On the inside cover under the Atlantic logo is the script " Under licence from Atlantic Recording Corprn. USA. Manufactured by POLYDOR RECORDS LTD. Printed and made by E.J.Day & Co. London W11, then UPTIGHTAN,OUTASIGHT is the official Atlantic Appreciation Society at 17-19 Stratford Place W1". This is omitted and blanked out on the later pressings of this album.
Vinyl is in Very Good Condition. Some small hairlines on both sides of the disc, and small paper rubs. Thick pressed vinyl retains its sheen though and has relativey clean labels and minimal spindle wear. There is occasional surface noise and odd pop and crackle but nothing to detract from the sound of this album. Comes in original poly-lined patented inner sleeve.
