and it’s true rarity:

Every once-in-a-while a record comes along that will stick in your memory forever – and this one easily falls into that elusive and rare category. This is the very rare and highly elusive example that lists the label error ‘Livin’ Lovin’ Wreck’ on side two that of course should have read ‘Livin’ Lovin’ Maid’. Examples with this label error are way, way rarer than standard ‘Lemon Song’ copies, this early example includes the Lemon Song’ credit also of course. 

Original, first pressed copies with ‘The Lemon Song’ printed on the UK Plum format are quite rare now anyway and highly treasured and sort after. When the famous red and maroon (‘plum’) labels are found showing ‘Lemon Song’ and as well as the 'Livin’ Lovin’ Wreck’ titles, you know you have one of the rarest ever UK Led Zeppelin albums ever made. The error was corrected very quickly and very few made their way into people’s album collections. The ‘Lemon Song’ title on the label was quickly changed on the ‘second pressings’ to become ‘Killing Floor’ for legal reasons, making the earlier original pressings far more scarce and sort-after. This record comes with it's genuine first issue pale brown cover. This cover goes beyond ‘difficult’ to find in top conditions because the fragile brown ink rubs and ringwears almost by looking at it. Very, very few exist even in fine EX conditions let alone better. 

Beware of ‘plum’ copies offered with very dark covers, they will have been swapped with later pressings, these are far more common and with more around, more often seen in better conditions. The original pressings should have a very pale brown cover (as this one does), the second pressings (Killing Floor version) have a mid-brown cover, the later Kinney orange and green pressings have a very dark brown cover and catalogue number, looking very different to the early examples - these can vary a little but this is pretty much a general guide. The original 1st issue sleeve is printed by E.J. Day, they held the contract for a very brief period and only these first UK pressing will show the E.J. Day print.

I have made a full recording of the LP from start to finish and will attempt to upload the full audio file. If I'm unable to do so please feel free to contact me and I will happily email you a copy. 

The vinyl sits perfectly flat and retains some of it's original shine. In general the LP/audio plays VG+, if not better but there are a couple of small and minor marks which cause a few skips on the first track. There is no visible scratch or mark on track 1. They're over with pretty quick and this is the only time/track it happens on. Nothing bad, the needle doesn't jump half the track or produce a sonic boom when it happens. This is why I've made a full recording of the LP so you can listen for yourself. Due to the size of the file I might not be able to upload it so please contact me for a copy, it's no problem. Overall the record plays great. No loud or continuous hiss or crackle. No loud and repetitive clicking, the odd one here and there but they're isolated and soft. The audio is clear, crisp, loud and kicks like a mule, don't be put off by the brief skips. 

Sleeve - VG

Non laminated gatefold sleeve. No major rips or seem splits. Some edge wear/corner wear. Small stain top left corner as shown in pics. Original E.J. sleeve. Only the very first few were printed with EJ Day. One small sticker removal mark on front just above the Atlantic logo. It's a little worn but it's a solid and firm sleeve with no seem splits or rips. Very rare original EJ Day sleeve.
