LED ZEPPELIN II UK 1st Press ATLANTIC RED PLUM 588 198

Description

Detailed seller ratings:

Item as described: I list everything possible about this item, please read everything thoroughly and view ALL of the photographs. Please do not bid if you expect something different from the listing.

Communication: I will answer any sensible query quickly and politely, but please read the listing thoroughly first. I email the winner to thank them for the bid and to advise them of the likely dispatch date (usually within 24 hours of receiving payment). I email again to confirm dispatch and provide tracking number.

Dispatch time: I dispatch within 24 hours of cleared funds, sometimes even the same day if the payment is received early enough and I am able to get to the post office in time. After that, it's down to the Royal Mail and whichever international mail service is involved - all of which is out of my control.

Postage and packing costs: It generally costs me more than I charge for shipping by the time I add in my mailers, stiffeners, shipping labels, printer ink, packing tape, fragile labels, petrol to the post office...so I do not overcharge on my shipping costs in any way.

Feedback: I would appreciate your feedback after the sale and you have received your item and are happy with it. This means I can then leave feedback for you and our transaction is closed.

FULLY PLAY GRADED VINYL - FROM START TO FINISH - EXCELLENT PLAYBACK! READ THE FULL, DETAILED DESCRIPTION.

PLAYGRADED: not simply glanced at with a superficial visual grading, fully played and graded throughout (listened to on headphones - the most revealing playgrade method, with no exterior audio distractions)

VINYL:

5 8 8 1 9 8   A // 5      1    1      1  5

5 8 8 1 9 8   B // 4      1    4      1  8

A moderately well-played copy that actually plays better than it looks. There are several hairline/paper handling marks/scuffs and a couple of fine hairline marks in Side One but remarkably they have very little effect on the audio playback! Side Two looks excellent with very few marks at all.

Side One: audio is consistently EX if not even better on the louder tracks. There is only light background crackle on the run ins and in between tracks, and barely audible even on the quieter moments. Superb tone (particularly bass) and volume throughout on this very first UK pressing.

Side Two: looks a little better and plays just as well as Side One with again only very light background crackle in between tracks - easily covered by the music, even the quieter musical sections. Only the quiet blues intro of Bring It Own Home has more audible background noise (but then it almost sounds more authentic as a result!) A very nice thick slab of vinyl that sounds great, particularly on my headphones, some lovely use of stereo (This is by far the best Zepp LP in my opinion).

Plays right through with no jumps or sticks.

OUTER SLEEVE:

Original EJ Day unlaminated gatefold sleeve in fairly typical condition. I've never seen a mint original one of these yet and doubt I will! This one is worn in all the usual places, with edge wear, spine wear and some light ring wear. There is also sellotape residue on the bottom edge and also several bits on the inside where a previous owner has obviously stuck a few things in the past... overall it's a G+, but get a better sleeve to go with the excellent vinyl and you'll have a very nice copy overall...

LABELS:

Excellent, NO graffiti, only a few spindle traces visible, but still very nice condition!

INNER SLEEVE:

Plain white one

Thanks for taking the time. Good luck in the auction.
