DESCRIPTION

Led Zeppelin III 1970 UK first press LP album, I bought this in 1970 so I presumed it was a first issue.
However having browsed the completed items I’ve seen several variations of a “first issue” !
So here’s the description and pictures of mine … make of it what you will!

Catalogue number …. 2401002
Side 1 matrix ………. 2401002 A-5
Side 2 matrix ………. 2401002 B-5

Etched in run-off is SO MOTE IT BE and DO WHAT THOU WILT

Label catalogue number, no hyphen.
Label has PRODUCED BY JIMMY PAGE and EXECUTIVE PRODUCER : PETER GRANT.
Also Warner Bros. Music Ltd.

Looks excellent, still glossy and shiny with only a few faint hairlines scratches visible, very superficial, nothing at all serious.
Plays very well throughout with lovely tone and volume.
There is some faint background crackle in the run ins and in between tracks and slightly
audible in the quietest sections.

1st issue fully-laminated gatefold sleeve with working wheel is in great condition for age,
just the usual light scuffing to a glossy surface, very tiny bit of corner wear.
Along spine printed LED ZEPPELIN LED ZEPPELIN III and ATLANTIC DE LUXE 2401 002 .

Printed and made by the E.J. Day group London and Bedford. Visual Creations by Zacron.

Original poly lined paper sleeve.
