LED ZEPPELIN
Title : Led Zeppelin III Label : Atlantic Cat No : 2401 002
Matrix : 2401002 A-5 Do What Thou Wilt / B-5 So Mote It Be
Issue : UK Original Plum Atlantic Press
This is a UK Original press of Led Zeppelin III. This press is complete with the earliest A5/B5 matrix and hand etched text Do What Thou Wilt / So Mote It Be and has the 'Under Licence' text above the white strip. The vinyl has the original polylined inner sleeve and laminated EJ Day Atlantic Deluxe rotating wheel, gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Very Good condition. The vinyl has a superb gloss and the original jet black finish. The grooves show no sign of heavy wear, there are however a couple of very light marks and one mark that can be briefly heard at the start of Side Two. The label is superb. The colours are vivid, the white is bright and the text is sharp. There is just the very slightest spindle wear. The vinyl is complete with the original polylined inner sleeve.
When played the vinyl is Very Good. The sound is rich, bold, warm and complete. Very Good audio separation and clear throughout. There are a few brief clicks on the mark and light occasional background noise. The vinyl can be enjoyed from start to finish.
The UK 1st press Atlantic Deluxe gatefold sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The die-cut circles have no wear at all, they are immaculate. The colours are vivid, the white is bright and the spinning wheel is perfect. The back has some laminate creases, these are from when the sleeve was printed. The inside is superb and the spine is solid with clear text.
