HERE IS A CHANCE TO PICK UP A 1971 UK FIRST PRESSING OF THE SELF TITLED LED ZEPPELIN 12" STEREO VINYL ALBUM IN VERY GOOD CONDITION COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS "LED ZEPPELIN IV"
ATLANTIC RECORDS DELUXE 2401012 STEREO PRESSING RELEASED 1971 THIS IS KNOWN AS VERSION 8 RELEASED ON THE PLUM LABEL . SPECIFIC TO THIS LABEL ARE: Atlantic red/white/plum labels.

Of 8 known 'plum' label variants, this is the 8th. Specific to this label variant are:
1. 'Marketed by Polydor Records Limited' at 6 o'clock on labels.
2. 'Under license from Atlantic Recording Corp.' in white area under ATLANTIC on left side.
3. LED ZEPPELIN is printed above spindle hole
4. Catalogue number at 3 o'clock above circular Atlantic logo reads 'deluxe 2401012'
5. There is no Peter Grant credit, and song publishing credits are: Kinney Music Ltd./Superhype Music Inc.
6. Track B1 is credited on B-side label as "Misty Mountain Hop"
Sleeve is a gatefold, thick card with sealed left side edge when opened up to reveal 'The Hermit' drawing. Disc is housed in a grey card liner with credits on one side and the lyrics to 'Stairway to Heaven' on the other. Outer glue-tabs on the left and right sides of liner.
Importantly, although Jimmy Page had got all the 'Executive Producer Peter Grant' credits removed from the labels by this time, the liner still retains this credit, bottom left side.
This release was commonly referred to as 'Led Zeppelin IV', to follow in sequence with their previous three releases, but no actual title appears on the release.

MATRIX NUMBERS: 2401012 A//3 12 17 PECKO DUCK / 2401012 B//4 PORKY 12 5 (A side displays variant 3 characteristics with the rare B// crossed out with XX whilst the B side looks to be a variant 6)
PLAYTESTED: YES
VINYL VERY GOOD, GLOSSY CLEAN VINYL, HAS A FEW LIGHT SCRATCHES,STRONG CLEAR PUNCHY AUDIO THROUGHOUT, PLAYS WITH NO STICKING OR JUMPING, THERE IS SOME BACKGROUND NOISE AND AN OCCASIONAL CLICK IN PLACES BUT OVERALL A SUPERB LISTEN.
GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS VERY GOOD. HAS EDGEWEAR AND SOME SURFACE WEAR, A LITTLE PRINT LOSS ON REAR COVER, ZOSO INNER IS VERY GOOD, WORN THROUGH SIDES AND BOTTOM. VINYL WILL BE SENT OUT IN A PLAIN WHITE NEW INNER WHICH WILL BE SUPPLIED AS WELL.

Vinyl Will Have Obvious Signs Of Wear, Will Play With No Major Faults, But May Have Some Surface Noise Good – Sleeve Will Have Significant Wear/Damage. Vinyl Will Have A Fair Amount Of Surface Damage, Will Play With No Jumps Or Sticks, But Will Have Significant Surface Noise Fair – Sleeve Will Be Badly Damaged, Vinyl Will Have A Lot Of Damage, Will Play With Surface Noise And May Jump/Stick Etc.
