LED ZEPPELIN IV

1971 UK PLUM/ORANGE ATLANTIC 2401012

..A//3 & B//3..

..'PECKO DUCK' & 'PORKY' ETCHED..

This is a real stunning original UK first pressing of Led Zeppelin IV, the original thick vinyl is in impossible to find MINT condition, there is not even one tiny scuff/mark or hairline to be seen, even in brighter light both sides of the vinyl look in flawless brand new condition, this is a perfect condition original very first pressing that will definitely never need upgrading..GUARANTEED!!!. The original early print matt gatefold sleeve and original inner sleeve with flip-backs are both in excellent condition with no splits/writing or bad faults.

This immaculate 1st pressing also has the rare 'MISTY MOUNTAIN TOP' text label error. The run-offs have the earliest A//3 & B//3 matrix codes and also the now famous 'Pecko Duck' & 'Porky' etchings which only appeared on the very first pressings, George "Porky" Peckham is a British record cutting engineer, widely recognised as among the most accomplished in the business.

Early uk plum/orange 1st pressings of Led Zeppelin albums really are near impossible to find in MINT condition, so here is a very rare opportunity to secure a super-rare copy of the bands excellent fourth album in stunning MINT condition.

1971 A3/B3 FIRST PRESS VINYL=MINT

As already mentioned the vinyl is visually in brand spanking as new MINT condition, there are no marks, scuffs or scratches at all, in bright light there are also NO visible sleeve withdrawal hairlines that almost every original uk copy has due the vinyl being removed and replaced from the coarse inner info/lyric cover, when this album was bought new the vinyl was almost immediately placed inside a poly-lined inner sleeve for that little bit of extra protection, the record has only ever seen a good quality turntable just two or three times since new so the vinyl has remained in perfect ultra-clean MINT playing condition. I have played this album right through before listing and as expected it still sounds as good as the day it was pressed, just a few plays on a quality deck with a decent stylus means near perfect audio with no clicks or pops and only the absolute minimal amount of very low level surface hiss/crackle that all records have even when bought new.

1971 1st PRESS PLUM/ORANGE ATLANTIC LABELS=MINT

Both 1st press plum/orange Atlantic labels are in superb MINT condition with no marks or faults at all. The label of side two has the rare ''Misty Mountain Top'' spelling error which only appeared on the very early uk first pressings.

ORIGINAL 1st PRESS MATT GATEFOLD SLEEVE=EX

The original matt gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition, as this is the original cover there is no printed text on the spine or anywhere else on the sleeve. There are some thin slithers of storage wear along the edges and the top and bottom of the spine also has some rubbing, lastly this original gatefold sleeve is just slightly out of shape, the front & back edges do not seem to sit flush to one another and there is also a slight wavy appearance to the sleeve but this is pretty minor as this matt gatefold sleeve is still in really great condition with no nasty defects at all. It would be very easy for me to swap this original cover with a perfect condition slightly later gatefold and hope that nobody notices but that's not the kind of thing i do, this is the original totally matt gatefold sleeve that came with the vinyl when new, slightly later uk Led Zep IV covers are a little thicker and slightly lighter in colour and also have a slight sheen to them so it would be quite easy to spot if they had been swapped.

ORIGINAL 1st PRESS INNER SLEEVE WITH 2 FLIP BACKS=EX+

The original coarse thick paper inner sleeve is much darker in appearance than later issues, it also has two flip-backs which slightly later uk inners do not have, this original inner sleeve is in superb excellent+ condition, as already mentioned, for extra protection the album has been kept inside a more vinyl friendly poly-lined inner sleeve since new, not only has this kept the vinyl in MINT condition but it has also kept this thick paper inner sleeve free of seem/edge splits which is very common with original issues of Led Zeppelin IV.

To sum up, this is an amazing condition uk very first pressing with the vinyl in beautiful true MINT condition and the matt gatefold and inner sleeve not too far behind, a top collectors condition guaranteed final upgrade that will definitely not disappoint in any way.

I really do pack my records very well indeed, the album will be removed from the card cover to avoid seem/edge splits in transit, plenty of rigid cardboard support will be used to avoid corners bending, this album will reach you in the same condition as advertised.
