"Wizard" mirrored. Very rare indeed, normally the lantern is to the top left, here it is to the bottom right. An anomaly which only a few, possibly one in a few hundred had.
First press matrices with the earliest stampers and "PORKY" and "PECKO DUCK" etched into the deadwax. This is the genuine FIRST PRESS with the correct A//3 B//3 matrices. (A//3 B//4 are second press). This has the Misty Mountain Top (instead of Hop) misspress. But not only that ... This is possibly the best ever condition for this album I have ever come across. It actually looks unplayed or barely played. An impossible upgrade for every Zep collector out there. They do not come around like this very often!!

"Four Symbols" spent an amazing 57 weeks in the UK charts. The green & orange label pressing's would far outsell the red and maroon colour early pressing's. The Plum label variants were only available for 12 of the 57 weeks, during which time Atlantic prepared to launch their new labels and the new catalogue numbers.
Label changes usually took place incrementally, with a necessary cross over period needed to bridge the change of the records and covers already in record shops, taking into account the most recent releases that were still selling.
The classic Plum label design was changed by Atlantic to a green & orange colour in March, 1972, when the second pressings of "4 Symbols" were made, with a new catalogue number, 'K 5008,' replacing the first issue's 'De Luxe 2401 012.'
The vinyl looks like it did when it was first bought.
Gatefold sleeve: EX. A great gatefold sleeve and the original matt one for this first UK press version. Some storage wear on the top and bottom edges and a spine which has just very light wear hardly noticeable. There are NO major creases. This is a very hard sleeve to find in such great condition as it is matt and many owners did not look after their albums properly. This copy is well preserved and only has some minute edge creases. Light corner bumps. Indeed there are no tears or splits. There is no writing or anything untoward. The inside gatefold is excellent and again very rare as the wizard is mirrored with the lantern right bottom instead of left top. More from this wonderful collection will be listed in the near future. Needless to say, NO splits, NO tears, NO writing.
It has the original inner lyric sleeve which has a seam split to one side and the bottom where there is also a tiny tear.The paper used for the inner sleeve is akin to the good old blotting paper we used at school (I know that goes back a bit). All text is fully legible.
Please note that I am also selling another Zep 4 copy which is in slighly lessr condition than this copy.
For international postage a fee will be applied for tracking if the album sells for over £30.00. This fee will be for the actual amount the Royal Mail charge. I do not gain from postage and actually have to pay a percentage to Ebay.
