Led Zeppelin IV A2 / B2 Lilac Vinyl Limited Edition 1978
This limited edition lilac vinyl plays with stunning quality and there are no clicks or pops to be heard. The clarity of sound is so impressive and considering it isn't a red / plum press the depth and warmth of the audio is very impressive also. A little distortion on 'When The Levee Breaks' as is common on any pressing but still a great listen.
The cover is in superb condition with hardly any wear and the paper inner has also been preserved very well.
Possibly one of the rarer lilac pressings the text on S1 is only in the orange section whereas on S2 it moves up higher into the green section also.

Visual description
The vinyl is stunning and still has a lovely glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. I can only see a small number of ultra faint hairlines under a bright light and the labels have no marking either. There is hardly any spindle wear on S1 but there is some around the centre circle on S2.
Play Grading
'Black Dog' plays with superb power and definition and no interference. I heard a couple of seconds of barely audible static during one of the brief quieter 'moments' but that hardly qualifies as interference! Mint-
The intro on 'Rock And Roll' has no background and first vocal is just as strong. From on it plays with phenomenal power and again there is no intrusion on the audio. To be fair it's kind of like listening to a red / plum pressing! You can hear each not so clearly and there is no distortion on the top end. Mint
The quiet build up on 'The Battle Of Evermore' plays with stunning clarity and this level is kept up throughout every vocal and instrumental section. It really is such a clean version with nothing to detract from the audio. No ticks, clicks, pops or static and Mint is again deserved.
The acoustic intro on 'Stairway To Heaven' plays very clearly with only a handful of minor statics / couple of ticks. The opening vocal section then plays with perfect clarity and the first It makes me wonder... vocal is equal to that. It continues in the same way and as Bonham comes in the audio is faultless. Yes on coloured vinyl but the depth and warmth of the audio is still so impressive. No interference whatsoever. Page's 'stumming' section has only minimal static distortion (this is common here) and then his solo plays with outstanding power and clarity. There is only minimal distortion but you can still play it loud without it affecting the audio. The remainder is superb and end quiet vocal has no background. I will grade the intro as Ex+ and from then on Near Mint is a fair assessment of the audio.

The intro on 'Misty Mountain Hop' plays with sublime clarity and the opening vocal has no background either. From then on it plays so clearly with no distortion on the vocal, great definition. I will say Mint- just to err on the side of caution :-)
'Four Sticks' plays with stunning clarity, depth and warmth from start to finish. Such a high end version and it has to be graded as Mint
The quiet intro on 'Going To California' has not even a single dust tick and Plant's opening vocal section is just as clean. It proceeds to play with a clarity that is second to none, the audio is so impressive for such quiet number. Mint all the way.
The intro on 'When The Levee Breaks' is again so strong and clear the first vocal is flawless. As is progresses there is some of the distortion so often associated with this track but it is only minimal. Nothing intrusive and there are no ticks, clicks etc. Overall ranging between Ex+ and Near Mint is about right.
The Gatefold & Inner Sleeve
The glossy cover is in superb condition with hardly any wear. The edges are perfect and the spine is so clean also and the corners have barely any wear. The opening edge has next to no handling wear and the front cover is unmarked although the original sticker has been removed from the top right corner. The back cover is in great shape with only a hint of ringwear near the top and the inside of the gatefold is near perfect with only a couple of minor spots. A fine example.
The original lyric inner is in superb condition and for once has no side splits, tears or marking. I know it's a later one made with thicker paper but it's still rare to find it like this! It just has a couple of minor creases.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
