Description
This is the mega rare Led Zeppelin IV album released incorrectly on the Asylum record Label and one of the rarest Led Zeppelin releases ever!
Using Record Collector Magazine Gradings the Vinyl is in Excellent condition, the Sleeve is in Fair condition and the Insert is in Good condition.
This record was produced in the 70's (or 80's) but the wrong label was used, Asylum instead of Atlantic. The record was quickly withdrawn when the error was realised but a very small number of copies were sold before this could occur. It is thought that maybe less than 200 copies were sold and the actual number may even be less than this.
I have to mention that this record sounds incredible, the record only has a few very light whispy sleeve removal lines and a couple of very minor faint lines and it plays with very little background noise, hardly any at all in fact and only occasionally is any very slightly heard in the quite periods. It is an Excellent copy which I would grade as Excellent minus at least.
There is a small v shaped vinyl discolour mark from the pressing process but this does not affect sound and is only visual and occurred on some or all of the copies of this vinyl looking at the pictures of other copies online. There are no skips or jumps to the record.
I believe this record has had very little play as the sound is delivered clear and crisp. Vocals are amazing and guitars sound fantastic, there is no distortion at all. It has only been played by myself a couple of times.
With the number of copies reported to be in existence the chances of finding another copy as good as this is very slim indeed.
The sleeve as I mentioned is only in fair condition with damage but this is a generic sleeve from the 70's or 80's versions and can be easily replaced.
The record is marked 'K50008A X Strawberry" on the run out side A and K50008B on side B.
The record label also has the misprint 'Battle of Evenmore'
