Description
Led Zeppelin IV-Classic vinyl LP on Atlantic Deluxe 2401 012
Released in 1971 this is the fifth version of the first press of the album, and the last version with the classic plum label.
The matrix numbers are:
A3 with 'Pecko Duck' in the dead wax
B4 with 'Porky' in the dead wax.
The vinyl is in excellent condition, with a very few surface marks, which do not affect playback. There are no cracks, pops etc,and the sound is clear and undistorted throughout.
The labels are bright and undamaged, and there is still a vinyl sliver in the spindle hole, which shows how little this has been played.
The gatefold sleeve is in very good condition. The edges show some rubbing, and there are some marks near the top of the rear sleeve, but there are no splits etc.The inside gatefold has a couple of marks but otherwise very good. The original paper lyric inner sleeve is present,it has a large split in the bottom seam, but otherwise undamaged. The disc will be in a separate poly lined sleeve when sent.
Overall,a superb sounding example of this classic album.
The LP is posted in a robust cardboard mailer with cardboard stiffeners.
