Description
For sale here is my copy of Led Zeppelin 'Mothership' which I purchased in the UK at the time of original release.
This is a 4LP box set on 180g black vinyl.
The box, records and inner sleeves have been very carefully stored with minimal handling.
I have played the records a few times, probably up to a dozen, on my Project Turntable with (high quality) Ortofon 2M Blue stylus.
I list the records as near mint (rather than mint), because they have been played, but the records (vinyl and labels) appear as new with no marks (except for a small fingerprint in the run off groove of side 5).
The records are housed in white inner sleeves with cellophane internals. Also present are the card inner sleeves, although these have never been used to house the records so are mint. Please note the lower flipback of the John Bonham sleeve for record 3 is not stuck down properly (photo 13), it was like this when I got it, so I guess they did not apply enough glue in the factory. You could easily glue this if it bothers you (but I never did this as I prefer to keep the records / packaging exactly as they were when manufactured).
The booklet is mint with no damage visible anywhere.
The box is in excellent condition, only showing some minor rubbing here and there if you look really closely.
Also present (photo 14) is the loose sheet which was included outside the box but within the cellophane - for the purpose of showing the track listing (which is not printed on the outside of the box). This is prone to getting damaged but I have managed to keep this one in excellent condition.
I removed the box from the cellophane wrap at the time of purchase but retained the cellophane wrap, which is included (photo 15). When removing the box from the wrap I kept it as intact as possible. The wrap bears the original hype sticker and bar code label (but there was no price label).
The box set will be posted insured to value of sale and very well protected.
