This is a fantastic 4 LP boxed set by the legendary Led Zeppelin entitled 'Mothership' on the Swan Song/Atlantic label from 2007 (catalogue no. RI 344700). I have played through all eight sides only once and the quality is astounding. The record features many of the band's classic songs which have been re-mastered. Most of the examples of this release are on CD and it is rare to find a vinyl issue like this. I have examined carefully all the components of the LP package and can assure all bidders that this is a virtually brand new, set. It is produced by Jimmy Page.

OUTER SLEEVE (BOX) - This is a superb heavy weight black red and white box with a superb logo on the box lid and the Swan Song 'angel' logo on the bottom of the tray. The box lid and tray show virtually no wear or damage and on the inside of the tray there is a nice black ribbon which sits under the records and booklet in order to make them easy to remove. There is also a paper panel which sits at the bottom of the tray and shows on one side a photo of the band with a track listing for all 8 sides. All these components are in superb condition with almost no wear and I have given the box package itself an Ex++ grading because I never grade anything as mint.

RECORD SLEEVES - These each feature a photo of one band member on the front covers with track listings on the reverse. The covers are in Ex++ condition with no damage. Each of the inner sleeves is a white diecut paper type with a clear plastic inner. these inner sleeves are all in Ex++ condition. Record one features Jimmy Page on the front with his 'symbol' from the 4th album underneath his photo. Record two features John Paul Jones (ditto symbol), record three features Robert Plant (ditto symbol) and record four features John Bonham (ditto symbol).

RECORDS - The four records are in superb condition and have been played only once on a quality stereo system and the sound and quality are stunning. The first side of each record shows the individual symbol of the featured band member on side one with no wording while side two of each record features the track listings for both sides. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are as follows - side one - RH1 - 344700 - A 5 - 66482 - SR2 @ SRM 17012.1 (3) - side two - RH1 - 344700 - B 5 - 66483 SR2 @ SRM 17012.2(3) - side three - RH1 - 344700 - C 5 - 66484 SR2 @ SRM 17012.3 (3) - side four - RH1 - 344700 - D 5 - 66485 SR2 @ SRM 17012.4(4) - side five - RH1 - 344700 - E 5-66486 SR2 @ SRM 17012.5(3) - side six - RH1 - 344700 - F 5-66487 SR2 @ SRM 17012.6(3) - side seven - RH1 - 344700 - G 5 - 66488 SR2 @ SRM 17012.7(3) - side eight - RH1 - 344700 - H 5 - 66489 SR2 @ SRM 17012.8(3). There are some very minor pressing marks and one or two handling marks which I've cleaned up on each of the LP's. These can be seen under a powerful light bu these do not detract from the overall quality of the records which have all been graded Ex++.

16 PAGE LP SIZE BOOKLET - This featrues a brief history of the band with some superb photos credits on the centre page. It is in pristine condition and has been graded Ex++.

I try to grade all my items as accurately as possible and I will provide a full refund to any winner of my auctions who is not 100% satisfied. Please see my feedback for any references required.
