Original UK stereo Double LP, released in 1975 on the SWAN SONG label.
Earliest and rarest pressing with "KINGS ROAD" and "GOTHIC PRINT FINISHERS" credits.

SCENES TO MATCH THE COVER. MADE FROM VERY THICK CARDBOARD.
1st ISSUE FOLD -OUT CARD INSERT, WITH "PULLED CURTAINS" OVERPRINTED,
PLUS THE ALBUM TITLE'S LETTERING AND THE TRACK DETAILS / CREDITS .
UK PRINTED 1st ISSUE COVER, WITH ALL THE 32 DIE-CUT WINDOWS UNTORN, ALL IN EXCELLENT+ CONDITION
Condition of cover/inners/record1/record2: EX/EX+/M-/M- (Grading as used by Record Collector)
The cover is great! Has a nice satin finish, made of heavy card with the cut out windows - all flawless; the spine is still strong and the three edges are pretty clean with only minor wear and a little more at the corners. The top opening is strong with NO wear. The back cover has the Kings Road, London address of SWAN SONG printed below the logo - THIS ONLY APPEARS ON THE 1st PRESS. A nice cover with no rips, no marks, no stains, no ringwear, and grades a strong EX
The side opening inner sleeves are the thick, heavy card type only found in the original 1975 UK issues and "Sleeve printed and made in England by Gothic Printers And Finishers Ltd" is found printed on the the fold-out inner card - this is the main way to tell a true 1st pressing! Only this 1st issue was printed in the UK - production was then shifted to Germany for all the re-issues. The inner sleeves are flawless. The two different inner sleeves are made fom the thick carboard which was only used on the first pressing. Also they are side opening, unlike the thin paper, top opening German made inners. Both have unfaded colours and are in superb condition with no visible ringwear at all. Again, no marks at all - EX+ if not NEAR MINT!!!!!!
The fold out inner card is completely original, heavy 1st and in great overall condition. No wear or aging, and grades an EX+
The vinyls are superb!!!! The four Swan Song labels are vivid, bright and clean with only a few light spindle marks and the most minimal spindle wear - as though it was only played a couple of times. The printing on the labels features the heavy, bold type, again only seen on the very first pressing. The SWAN SONG artwork on the label is very bright and colourful. The vinyl itself is stunning - NO surface marks can be seen, and there are no bad clicks, pops or noticible background/surface noise. The records both have a glossy shine and play great, producing a beautiful warm tone with great power and a crystal clear audio definition. Even the run ins are near silent! The sound is the best thing about this 1st press - very warm, loud, and with a lot of punch! A strong EX+/NEAR MINT

All in all a fantastic example of this increasingly rare Rock n Roll masterpiece!
