Description
Here is a UK copy of Led Zeppelin's debut disc on true first press plum/ red Atlantic vinyl from way back in 1969. This very first press disc features the ultra rare uncorrected 588171 matrices on both sides and the withdrawn Superhype credits (please see photos). The disc is in VG- condition, with unblemished labels, and light surface marks on the vinyl when examined under harsh halogen light, but certainly no nasty feelable scratches. The disc plays all the way through, both sides, with no clicks, no skips and no sticking, and the music is clear and vibrant although there is background noise present during the quieter moments (I don't have a cleaning machine but perhaps it would benefit from a clean). The first press fully laminated orange-lettered MacNeil-printed sleeve with grey bottom strip is in VG- condition with various light creasing and light laminate lift (but no laminate loss) near the spine, light indentations and no sticker tears, no rips, fully readable spinal text and, as you can see, is altogether very presentable. Good luck if you are bidding. I carefully package all rare vinyl with the disc removed from the sleeve to eliminate 'knifing' during transit.
