Description

LED ZEPPELIN The Song Remains the Same VINYL 2-LP ‘76 Orig US FIrst Pressing SWAN SONG SS 2-201 NM/VG+. This is a 2-LP Album as-issued. From the film, “The Song Remains the Same,” all Zeppelin tunes. The jacket I am grading consecutively as VG+. It has the “saw-cut” and another tiny cut. See pictures #5 and #6. A little wear to jacket. But no worries. It could be graded VG++ (otherwise known as EXCELLENT.). Some may even grade it NM but I don’t want to screw-around with you guys. The inside of the gatefold jacket is very nice, it has photos and the attached large-page booklet. 2 records, all 4 sides absolutely NM actually about MINT. Glossy and “look unplayed New.” So we’ll say NM. You won’t be disappointed. I always grade conservatively and follow Goldmine Standards (even if it ain’t easy!). I took very good care of my records over the decades. I also worked in the industry. I don’t clean and shine them up for sale either. That can do more harm than good. It’s all about the dust or dirt —if you don’t first remove properly with a vg anti static brush, then all you’re going to do is rub it into the grooves. Then you’ll get surface and other noise distortion. Proper records care requires very little cleaning or none even. The funny thing with vinyl records is, any dust on one side will attract like a magnet to the other side, instantly, if not cleaned right. Static electricity is basically the reason. Use a quality turntable and handle your records by the edges only, sleeve them when not playing. And you’ll be way ahead of the game. There are these cloths for gently wiping a record before playing/after. They are lightly treated with a cleaning agent (very mild), and these cloths are anti-static. These are good, I’ve used occasionally in the past. Also, you can get these “pads” for your turntable that are soft, anti-static. Just remember—LESS IS BEST. Beware of records for sale that are clean and shiny, yet have light scratches / wear / some issues. These may have been shined-up for sale. But what matters is the GROOVES in the disc. This is how it plays.

US buyers only please, lower 48 continental states only please. Thank you and take a look at my other record listings. Always adding more.

I will gladly combine shipping on purchases of more than 1 record, whenever possible. If I notice or please let me know. You will save a decent amount on the shipping this way, and I will NOT just STUFF 2 or 3 in a box that cannot handle them. I recently sold 3 different records to a guy, 2 of which were double / gatefold jackets. So the thickness is almost like 5 records. I shipped these in a special box made for the purpose, and included padding, wrapped the records individually, and put in a couple cardboard spacers. This buyer first purchased 3 different listed albums, then asked me to combine shipping. He originally paid $12.00+ for shipping. I combined and then charged him the exact cost of a little over $5.00. So I refunded him $7.00-something. Any Insurance is always at my expense (as-in that case)—it should never be the Buyer’s expense. My priority is that your record (s) arrives safe-and-secure. In case it doesn’t, just let me know.

VINYL RULES!! Love all you Collectors and especially the younger people ! You all make me Proud.
