Description
LEE MORGAN "THE SIDEWINDER" LP - Blue Note, Original Mono Pressing #4157. Scarce vintage jazz Lp. Blue & White with the NEW YORK USA address on the labels. Deep groove, 'EAR' and 'VAN GELDER' stamp in the trail-off on both sides. Matrix number is hand-etched on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick cardboard cover. The vinyl is in VG+++ to NM condition (beautiful gloss) with clean labels. Stunning!! The thick cardboard cover is in excellent shape, there is a hand stamped, ink lettering that is on the rear cover on the upper left, unclear as to it's significance, but appears to be a name, fading and is approx. 2 1/2" long by 1" high, but does not detract from overall condition of the the jacket . NO seam splits, NO cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking - there is a slight creasing on the left side over the end of the word "Sidewinder" title (not visible in the photo) - this is very minor in my opinion; also there is some visible yellowing of the cover in the original white areas which is normal due to aging. Address on back cover is 43 West 61st St., New York 23. This is a killer copy and not to be missed!
