Description
Beautiful vintage jazz LP featuring LEE MORGAN on the Blue Note label, from approximately 1960. Title is “Lee-Way,” catalog number is BLP 4034. Personnel are LEE MORGAN – trumpet, JACKIE McLEAN – alto sax, BOBBY TIMMONS – piano, PAUL CHAMBERS – bass, and ART BLAKEY – drums.
Label is “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC * 47 WEST 63rd * NYC, thick vinyl with deep groove. Trailoff vinyl has ear symbol and RVG machine stamped, matrix number is hand-etched. Jacket has “43 West 61st St., New York 23” address at bottom on reverse. Jacket is in excellent condition, no splits, writing, or other serious problems. A bit of gentle darkening on reverse, nice crisp edge and 3 great corners, top left corner has wear spot at the point. Overall very nice. Vinyl is ultra clean, obviously played a very small number of times and handled with care. Has full brilliant gloss, no sign of wear, one very light hairline surface mark which is not audible, otherwise no flaws, plays with awesome fidelity. A beauty to both the eyes and ears!
Side 1 contains following songs: “These are Soulful Days” and “The Lion and the Wolff.” Side Two contains following tunes: “Midtown Blues” and “Nakatini Suite.”
