From 1984 comes Bear Family's 14 LP Lefty Frizzell box set His Life - His Music (Bear Family BFX 15100), bringing together Lefty's entire recorded output - from his classic early honky-tonk hits for Columbia ("I Love You A Thousand Ways," "If You've Got The Money, I've Got The Time," "Always Late (With Your Kisses)," "Mom and Dad's Waltz," etc.) through mid-career favorites such as "You're Humbuggin' Me," "Long Black Veil," "Saginaw, Michigan," and "She's Gone, Gone, Gone" on up to his final recordings for ABC (including "I Never Go Around Mirrors" and "Life's Like Poetry," penned by lifetime Frizzell apostle Merle Haggard) in addition to an album's worth of demos and live tracks - 239 songs total!  This is Lefty's entire seminal country music career all in one place.

   The outer box is very good plus - no splits or writing, but there are a few small tears and chips along its edges (although fortunately none along the spine) along with a few faint spots of discoloration.  The fourteen LP's are near mint to mint, as are their individual sleeves - none of which have more than a whisper of wear about them.  Also included as part of this package is a book with an in-depth biography written by late Country Music historian Charles Wolfe along with a typically well-researched discography/sessionography from Wolfe and Bear Family owner Richard Weize.  The book is in mint condition - looking virtually unread!
