Description
LEONARD COHEN Songs & Poems RARE AUSSIE 4 x LP BOX SET 1980 Box Damage / LPs NM!
A lovely second hand copy of this incredibly rare box set of Leonard Cohen. Released only in Australia to coincide with his 1980 tour. Contains his first 4 studio albums and an 18 page lyric booklet. Cat No: S4BP 220602
ALBUMS:
1. Songs of Leonard Cohen
2. Songs from a Room
3. Songs of Love and Hate
4. New Skin for the Old Ceremony
All 4 albums are in incredible condition and have had minimal use and been very well handled. All look super clean and play with no surface noise (very important with his releases - and hard to find copies that play this quietly!). Next to no spindle markings noted indicating these have probably been played once or twice. I don’t use the grading NM for vinyl very often - but I’m happy to do so in this instance.
All 4 album covers are in excellent condition - minimal ringwear noted - but all seams are pefectly intact and essentially mirror the indications that they have been handled only a minimum of times.
The box however has all four corners split - visible in pics 2-5. Quite common with boxes of this vintage - but this does drop the overall grading down a notch. A few paw prints noted on the front of the box too.
All in all this is a very nice second hand copy of this very hard to find set which contains very close to mint condition copies of his first 4 essential albums.
This will be very well packaged to ensure no further damage to box will happen during transit.
