Les Baxter, composer of many an odd album, scored this biker chick exploitation movie from the American International (who else?) stable. The original soundtrack is very rare and invariably expensive, but what a great funk score! Almost every track is backed up by a huge breakbeat, mad percussion, a huge clanking sixties bassline and a whirling organ sound. Don't miss this album if you see enjoy a beat-y, easy listening feel to your funk. This soundtrack's killer track is the breakbeat classic...an original copy of this has been a “white whale” of mine every since I first ran into it in the KALX library back in 2000. There’s a reissue that you can cop for $10 or less, but I can tell you the sound is vastly superior on the original and it’s worth the price. I’m not sure there’s a record that has harder drums and fuzzier guitars out there, even if virtually every song is just a slightly different take on the same basic theme. If only there was a soul clap on all these tracks instead of the occasional tambourine it would be the greatest record of all time.

This is a monstrously rare (in this case, “monstrously” should be taken literally) original 1969 pressing of the very twisted score from Les Baxter - probably his best score EVER! Original artwork (go-go boots, mini skirts & motorcycles), hard to find and incredibly funky soundtrack to American International Pictures biker flick composed & conducted by Les Baxter. Loaded with  killer fat drum beats and breaks: this is a motherlode of funky tracks, and a veritable overkill of psychedelic breakbeats! Highlights include the classics "Hogin' Machine" and "Hot Wind", but there's lots of other nice ones like "Soul Groove" and "Scoobee Doo". The drums are nice and hard, and there's plenty of fuzzy fuzzy guitar to go around

·       THE RECORD

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS EXCELLENT. This is one of those albums that are somewhat difficult to grade. It is somewhere between VG++ and NEAR MINT, just a notch below NEAR MINT. A few light abrasions ARE visible, but they are extremely shallow, superficial  and only moderately visually distracting (nothing significant).For the most part, the vinyl looks impeccable without any MAJOR visual flaws or imperfections. Much of the original luster is intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)            The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(c)             White Promo Label version of this title is much rarer that a regular, commercially released, version of this title. We estimate that stock copies of this album outnumber promo copies by a ratio of at least 100:1.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
