Les DeMerle and his ultra tight band Transfusion with another supercharged 70s fusion banger.  This one’s recorded live at Howard Rumsey’s Concerts by the Sea in Redondo Beach, California, and it’s heavier on the funk side for this outing.  Don Menza's "Sambandrea Swing" sets the floor on fire and Stu Goldberg's "Quetzal" is pretty good too.  Opens with “Quetzal,” penned by Stu Goldberg (John McLaughlin).  Perhaps best known for the monster breaks cut “Freedom Jazz Dance.”  Click here for some sample audio clips:

This is already a super hard to find record, but this copy also includes the following cool inserts: the drum charts for all of the pieces on this album(!), a black and white photo of Les, and a hand-written note written by him to the original recipient of this LP (see additional pictures).  Privately released in the U.S. on the Bar T label in 1978.  The cover is in Ex+ and the record is in Ex condition.  (For more info on my grading system, click on the “me” icon above.)
