Description
THE LESTER YOUNG - TEDDY WILSON QUARTET's "PRES & TEDDY" released on VERVE RECORDS (MGV 8205) in 1957. THE OSCAR PETERSON TRIO consists of RAY BROWN, BARNEY KESSEL, and J.C. HEARD. This is a first pressing with the trumpet player labels (Scan 3) This is part of a large batch of Lester Young LPs that I am putting up over the next week, with Norgran, Epic, Imperial and further Verve's with many in STUNNING NM and NM+ shape!
The LP is in strong NEAR MINT (NM+) condition, and appears that it has been played rarely if ever judging by the lack of any visible spindle marks on the labels, and other than 2 or 3 extremely light sleeve marks on Side 2 with no audio effect, not a mark or scratch on the great looking vinyl. On spot playing both sides there is no background/surface noise of any kind, playing like new. The classic "trumpet player" first pressing labels (Scan 3) are in NM shape.
The Cover is also in strong NEAR MINT condition, with all seams fully intact, the corners sharp (small wrinkle upper right), and the front and back (Scan 1& 2) showing Next-To-No wear. Awesome!
