- LIMITED TO 750 COPIES WORLDWIDE RARE UK RECORD COLLECTOR ISSUE IN MINT CONDITION
As some of you might know, the band Leviathan was originally Mike Stuart Span who released a number of highly collectable singles in the late 60s. When they signed to Elektra records in January 1969 it was on the condition that they changed their name. Thus, as Leviathan they released three singles on Elektra although label boss Jac Holzman decided against releasing their debut LP. This devastated the band at the time and this ‘lost’ album has become as legendary as one of those lost mythical creatures of the sea. Record Collector finally unleashed the Leviathan LP a mere 42 years after it was originally scheduled for release! Musically, this LP ranges from psych tinged pop of Remember The Times via the pliant groove of World In My Head to the extended blues workout of Evil Woman. All tracks are remastered from the original tapes, spread over 3 sides of vinyl, and beautifully housed in a specially designed gatefold sleeve with band approved, eye-popping artwork. Strictly limited to 750 copies worldwide, this one is No. 231/750. Comes with Certificat of Authenticity. Side 4 is blank with beautifully etched articles into wax. Everythnig in MINT condition, played once. Check the photos for details.
