Description
Offered for sale is an original U.S. vinyl album release of LIGHTNIN' HOPKINS. Album is identified as Sphere Sound SSR 7001, this was issued in 1964. This album comes in play graded strong NEAR MINT condition, and the cover is in just VG shape, please look at all the pictures. There is a one inch seam-split at bottom right corner, and there is a clean promo hole at bottom left corner, the spine has lots of wear and some of the text is no longer legible. The front and back covers are clean and vibrant with small amounts of rub wear and would have rated the entire cover as EX if not for the aforementioned spine issues. The record's deep groove labels are in NEAR MINT condition. Tremendous warmth and presence on this fifty year old treasure! Nine mono tracks including; "Mojo Hand", "Coffee For Mama", "Awful Dream", "Black Mare Trot", "Have You Ever Loved a Woman", "Glory Me", "How Long Has The Train Been Gone', "Shine On Moon", and "Santa".
