LIL’ RAY
L.A. soul-rocker
Little Ray also known as Ray Jimenez, was an East Los Angeles, Chicano rock and brown-eyed soul musician, prominent in the 1960s who sang up tempo Rhythm and Blues. Little Ray was born in Delano, California. His first record was “There’s Something On Your Mind” and was released on Dore Records in or around 1960.
In 1962 he signed up for a few singles with Tony Hilder's Impact Records label. That’s where we find him on this release. The single is "Loretta," backed with "My Girl." This one was released under the name of Lil' Ray & Thee Midniters. For a brief period of time, he was the lead singer for Thee Midnighters.
CONDITION: VG but plays very very well. Debbie (the original owner) has autographed it for you, as well as Lil’ Willie G.
