LINDA HOYLE Affinity ORIGINAL 1970 UK VERTIGO 'SWIRL' LP
Label: - VERTIGO
Catalogue: - 6360 004
Here we have a rare original 1970 UK pressing on the 'swirl' label with the early larger swirl icon. A great album with a laid back groove reminiscent of Julie Driscoll/Brian Auger
Track listing A-side: I Am And So Are You (Alan Hull)/ Night Flight (Linda Hoyle + Mike Jopp) / I Wonder If I Care As Much (Don Everly + Phil Everly)/ Mr.Joy (Annette Peacock).
Track listing B-side: Three Sisters (Linda Hoyle + Lynton Naiff) / Cocoanut Grove (John Sebastian + Zal Yanowski)/ All Along The Watchtower (Bob Dylan).
Vinyl: - VG+ (The vinyl would have earned an EX+ grade but for the fact there is a small warp in evidence. What effect does this have on play? The run in on the first track has a soft bump sound before the track starts but once started nothing is audible. It is audible again for the first 10 seconds or so of the second track. That's it on side one. On side two I only heard the same soft bump sound briefly for a about 10 seconds during the intro of the second track. At no time during play did it cause any jumps The overall sound of the album is superb, crisp, clear and detailed. Minimal play for certain. I found it hard to spot even faint hairline brushings from the sleeve. I have cleaned the vinyl before this auction on my Okki Nokki machine using L'Art Du Son cleaning fluid which greatly enhances the sound quality. Full refund on return is always offered if you have any problems with play)
Sleeve: - EX- (the front cover has a small area that has had the top surface peeled off. It's hard to spot as the original owner made a good job of touching it up. You can just make it out in the top photo as a lighter area near the edge of the wall. Inside there are very small handwritten track times against four tracks. There is a very small area of wear at the top of spine and in the lower part another very small area. This is very minor as this is a wide spine and the wear is only on the very edge. The swirl inner has two pieces of old cellotape, see photo.)
Labels: - EX (some light spindle marks)
This record seldom comes up for sale. Dont miss your chance

GRADING ABBREV DESCRIPTION MINT M The record is as new. The cover and any inserts should be in perfect condition. EXCELLENT
PLUS EX+ The record is near-mint, there is no damage or visible surface marking. Under Bright Light you may see fine lines on the record, caused by rubbing on the paper sleeve. Reserve this grade for records where you have difficulty spotting anything wrong.
The Cover and inserts are undamaged. EXCELLENT EX The record may show some signs of having been played, possibly with light surface marks or fingerprints but there is no appreciable lessening in sound quality.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. EXCELLENT
MINUS EX- There may be fairly visible surface markings under bright light but the sound quality of the record is not adversely affected.
The Cover and inserts may have noticeable light creasing or "foxing" due to dampness but they are all present and intact. VERY GOOD VG The record has obviously been played a lot, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite surface marks and some light scratches. Also Use this grading where the record has suffered perhaps one more visible scratch, but is otherwise in EX or better condition.
The cover may be creased a little and/or frayed at the opening. You should itemize any more serious damage such as tears.
I also use +/- if I feel a record comes between a grade
